Impressive Colt Wins by 5 1/5 lengths to Become 7th Winner for TOCCET

Ventana (2, c. Toccet - Full Figure by Polish Numbers) broke his maiden at first asking in a $52,000 MSW at Belmont today. The big bay colt kept a relaxed position just behind the pace, then angled outside to pass the leaders in a stretch drive. He won the race by an easy 5 1/2 lengths and a solid time of 1:09 for the 6 furlong contest. Bred by Joe Mulholland Sr, Joe Mulholland Jr & John & Karen Mulholland, he was a $147,000 Fasig-Tipton July Yearling and a $410,000 Barretts 2 year old.
