Daughter and Son of TOCCET Sweep the British Columbia Oaks/Derby!
TOCCET enjoyed his first Graded Stakes Winner as WINNING MACHINE (g. 3, Toccet - Dance With Carson by Carson City) stormed home to victory in the G3 British Columbia Derby at Hastings Park. Running in the colors of Fleur De Lis Stables and trained by Doris Harwood, the gelding was making his first start away from Emerald Downs. The son of TOCCET was bred by Paul Goldberg & Raymond Kwik in Kentucky and his lifetime record is now 13-5-2-2 with earnings of $274,151.
LA ROCCA (f. 3, Toccet - Perfect Wave by Boston Harbor) also scored big in the British Columbia Oaks the day before! This is the filly's second stakes win for owner Peter Redekop. The filly is trained by Terry Jordan and was bred in Kentucky by Overbrook Farm.
