Quote of the Day (c 2, Modigliani - Tender and True by Galileo) won the 1 mile Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden by 7 lengths at Navan on Wednesday October 5th. The juvenile broke alertly and took the lead at the three furlong pole to quickly assert and draw clear for a very impressive success on only his second racetrack appearance. The Kilboy Estate homebred was ridden very confidently by Chris Hayes, and post race the colt's trainer, Eddie Lynam commented "Quote of the Day did it very well and we'll probably go for the 9 furlong Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown on the last day of the season"
