Son of Hennessy Will Stand in Pennsylvania

Castleton Lyons is pleased to announce that multiple graded stakes winner Wiseman’s Ferry will be standing at Gayle Gerth’s Dana Point Farm in Pennsylvania for the 2009 breeding season.
‘With the tremendous Pennsylvania Stallion Series program for breeders there, the Wiseman’s Ferry Syndicate is excited about the prospect of standing this son of Hennessy where his offspring will have such an advantage,’ said Commercial Director Stuart Fitzgibbon.
‘We were very impressed by the professionalism of Dana Point and the enthusiasm of their General Manager, Maria Vorhauer. Wiseman’s Ferry has similar breeding to our flagship stallion Bernstein, so he has a great opportunity to make a name for himself in Pennsylvania.’
Wiseman’s Ferry, by Hennessy, is out of stakes winner Emmaus, by Silver Deputy, a daughter of La Affirmed, by Affirmed, and therefore a half sister to graded stakes’ winning sire Bernstein, graded stakes winners Caress (dam of sire Sky Mesa) and Della Francesca, and stakes winner Country Cat, from the family of champion Outstandingly. He has sired 39 winners and four stakes horses to date, including his top two-year-old son Kick On who recently collected his second stakes win at Delta Downs and looks to have a very bright future ahead of him.
