Dec 11th, 09 Champion Juvenile Will Stand in Pennsylvania for the 2010 Season
Castleton Lyons is pleased to announce that Champion
Juvenile Action this Day will stand at Dana Point Farm, Pennsylvania for the
2010 season.
Mr. Shane Ryan, president of Castleton Lyons said “We are
delighted that Action this Day is relocating to DanaPoint
for 2010. The team at Dana Point led by owner Gayle Gerth and general manager
Maria Vorhauer have built up a very professional and efficient stallion
operation and we have absolute confidence in their ability to succeed with
quality horses like Action this Day, Sir Shackleton and Wiseman’s Ferry. The
Pennsylvania Breeders’ Program provides tremendous opportunities for farms and
breeders in that state and DanaPoint’s roster of
stallions is well equipped to capitalize on this. Action this Day was a
brilliant winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile earning an Eclipse Award as
Champion 2-year-old and he has the potential to work very well in Pennsylvania as he is a
most attractive horse with pedigree lines that should suit most mares. He will
stand the 2010 season for a fee of $3,500 stand and nurse, with special
considerations available for multiple mares and Pennsylvania breeders and owners”.
