JUSTIN PHILLIP FIRST WEANLINGS LIGHT UP KEENELAND NOVEMBER

The first weanlings by G1 Vanderbilt winner Justin Phillip have been extremely well received by buyers at the Keeneland November Sales. Hip 2126, (photo left), a chesnut colt out of the Coronado's Quest mare Winter's Quest, led to a spirited bidding duel with Sobhy Sonbol evetually landing the attractive weanling, a half to the 2015 G1 placed Aripeka for $110,000. Hip 1968, a dark bay or brown filly out of the Storm Cat mare Mycatcandance was purchased by Damon Ming, Agent for $70,000. This gorgeous filly's dam is a full sister to G1 winner Consolidator and like the colt was consigned by Paramount Sales. Hip 2145, a particularly strong dark bay or brown colt out of the Foxhound mare Beautiful Stranger was knocked down to Brylynn Farm for $60,000. Consigned by Bluewater Sales, the colt's dam is a stakes winner and multiple stakes placed that has already produced a stakes winner and a stakes placed runner.
