Olympic Runner hopped at the break of yesterday's $100,000 King Corrie Stakes for 3yos at Woodbine and soon found himself more than seven lengths behind post time favorite and last year's Arlington-Washington Futurity winner, Big Drink of Water. The Mark Casse trainee was allowed to settle under Woodbine top rider, Patrick Husbands, and when asked to go, mowed down the front-runners near the 1/16 pole to win by 2 1/2 lengths in a hand ride. Bred in Kentucky by Eutrophia Farm, Ltd, the Gary Barber owned son of Gio Ponti now boasts a record of 7-3-0-1 and earnings of $120,407.
