Son of BERNSTEIN Is Undefeated and Headed to The Breeders Cup
WEST SIDE BERNIE (c. 2, Bernstein - Time Honored by Gilded Time) made it two-for-two with a thrilling victory in the G3 Kentucky Cup Juvenile today. The undefeated colt began his career with an easy win at Monmouth despite a troubled trip, and continued his streak by winning by his first graded stakes by three lengths on the Poly Track at Turfway Park. Conditioner Kelly Breen shipped in to Turfway to test the colt on the synthetic surface to gauge their chances in the Breeders Cup. After such an athletic performance, Breen was convinced at "Bernie's" chances, "He seems to like the distance and the surface....I think we are going to the big show." WEST SIDE BERNIE is owned by George and Lori Hall, and was bred by Polo Green Stable and Andrew Savas. Congratulations to all of his connections and best of luck on the road to the Breeders' Cup!
