Son of BERNSTEIN Wins The John Battaglia Memorial Stakes, Toccet Rocket Gets Up for Third!
PROCEED BEE (g. 3, Bernstein - Procession by Private Terms) made a late bid in the stretch to win the $100,000 John Battaglia Memorial Stakes at Turfway on Saturday. Rounding the turn, the gelding made a move going 5 wide, driving home to win the 1 1/16 mile test by 1 1/4 lengths! This is PROCEED BEE's second stakes win for trainer Terry Gestes and owner William Stiritz and he will be pointed towards the Rushaway Stakes on March 21st at Turfway. PROCEED BEE was bred by Hunter Valley Farm, H & W Thoroughbreds and Mary Wade. Congratulations to all of his connections!
