Daughter of BERNSTEIN wins Early Times Mint Julep at Churchill

MY BABY BABY (m 6, Bernstein - Sarah Darling by Wavering Monarch) held on to win the G3 Early Times Mint Julep Handicap over 8 1/2 furlongs at Churchill on Saturday. Settled in a close 4th for much of the $100,000 turf race, jockey Manoel Cruz made a decisive move on the mare rounding the final turn taking the lead and managing to hold on by a neck at the wire from the fast finishing Ravi's Song. Bred in Kentucky by Beau Lane 111, the daughter of Bernstein races for owner Magdalena Racing and trainer Kenny McPeek. It looks like this may have been My Baby Baby's final race track appearance as she is presently in foal to dual Horse of the Year, Curlin.
