3 Year Old Son of Bernstein Makes His Way Towards Derby
MAKE MUSIC FOR ME (c. 3, Bernstein - Miss Cheers by Carson City) broke his maiden with class by taking the Pasadena Stakes on Saturday at Santa Anita. Already placed in multiple graded stakes including the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity with earning over $200,000, this talented colt was still looking for his first win for Trainer Alexis Barba. Going a mile on the lawn, MAKE MUSIC FOR ME finally got his trip and drove on to beat the field under jockey Mike Smith. The colt will now be pointed towards the G1 Santa Anita Derby according to the Daily Racing Form. Congratulations to Owners Ellen & Peter Johnson and Breeder Richard Shultz!
