Filly Becomes 5th 2 Year Old Winner for BERNSTEIN This Year
Freakstein (f. 2, Bernstein - Cometuseibella by Pentelicus) cruises to win her first outing at Saratoga Race Course winning by 3 3/4 lengths. Sprinting clear at the start, Freakstein maintained a one-length lead through a half-mile. Opening a two-length lead in early stretch, the Bernstein filly turned back a three-wide bid from the favorite, Psycho D J. A $700,000 purchase as a 2 year old, she is owned by Zayat Stables and was bred by Douglas S. Arnold.
