STORM CHISPAZO Goes from Last to First to upset Argentine Derby!
Bred by Haras La Biznaga in Argentina, STORM CHISPAZO (c. 3, Bernstein - Chimera by Fitzcarraldo) made an incredible rally from last to first to upset the Gran Premio Nacional (Arg-G1 Argentine Derby) on Saturday at Palermo.
Under the guidance of jockey Jose Ricardo Mendez, the colt battled out a 3-length upset in the G1 event. STORM CHISPAZO is trained by Alfredo Gaitan Dassie for owners Stud Las Hormigas and after earning this 3rd victory in 5 starts, could be pointed for a start in the G1 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini, the premier event of South America held at San Isidro.
