Taco, the three-year-old Gio Ponti colt, made it four wins from as many lifetime starts when winning the Texas Heritage Stakes at Sam Houston last night. The Rose Hill bred started off with two victories at Gulfstream, followed up with another at the Fair Grounds before venturing to black-type company at Sam Houston in Texas. Racing mid-division for much of this 8 1/2 furlong turf test, he made relentless ground to take over in the stretch and take control by 1 1/2 lengths at the wire under Jesus Rios. Taco races for owners Kathleen Amaya, Raffaele Centofanti and Daniel Alonso and is trained by Elfren Loza
